Default RE: The Obama Plan

ORIGINAL: 3000fps

well I do for 1 Ask yourself are you better now than you were 8 yrs ago? Dont you want a job? Or a home to live in? The give to the rich and let it tricle down sure dont work.Look at Wall Street
Not really any better, but certainly not any worse. But tell me how you think that the government should be involved in setting my standard of living. I make what I make, and live accordingly. This is something that the liberals in government (and, unfortunately, many Republicans of late) just can't seem to understand. It's funny how that libs railed about Bush's out-of-control deficit spending, and in less than three weeks after Obama's coronation he and congress have managed to triple it.

Do I want a job? Of course, and I have one in the private sector. And I want to work on my own terms, not those dictated by government and the corrupt unions.

I have a home to live in, because I have a job and I didn't get a place I couldn't afford thanks to Barney Frank. Do you think that the taxpayers owe you a home just because you can't afford a mortgage?

As far as trickle down, have you ever been employed by a poor man? As much as the left just LOVES to create social unrest by playing the class warfare game (that's in the Communist Manifesto, too, BTW), the truth is that the wealthy are not the evil monsters that the libs make them out to be. The truth is that rich people (most of whom got rich because they are the smartest, most talented and hardest working among us) don't just stuff their money in their matress. They spend and invest their money which causes the economy to grow, business to start and expand, and jobs to be created. If you take away the wealth from the most productive members of society, and hand it out piecemeal to the least productive members through a wasteful a bloated government bureaucracy, the net result if ALWAYS stagnation and eventual collapse. Again, look to the Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba, Venesuela, China (although China has started to see the light of Capitalism). Is that what you want? A "free" government apartment, "free" government rationed bread, and a guaranteed job that the government assigns you to, like it or not? God help us.
