Well I like their cowboy solvent a lot. And their Bore Conditioner. Today I used their gun oil on the back of the lock and it seemed to work real good too. I would suggest if you want to scrub the rifle first, use a good solvent. Whether there is another brand of solvent you like, I don't know. But for the Bore Conditioner to work, it needs to be put in a clean barrel. So I think you could get by with the Bore Conditioner.
