The tekan II's were great mechanical heads, the newer and "improved" Tekan is not so much. The tekan II's have a larger tip and slightly smaller cutting diameter wich allows for better penetration and a more durable head. The newer tekans have a smaller tip and larger blades which tend to break off on hard impacts, and they don't seem to stay closed as well.
