I prefer Trueflight feathers. IMO, they've got more consistent bases than the Gateway brand. Size and profile are more determined by how much feather you need to stabilize your broadheads and give you good flight, and personal preference. Check out the link below. For feathers, I prefer Bohning fletching tape over glue. Tape is easy to use and works great on all arrow materials/finishes I've come across. Glue like Fletchtite or Duco works just fine on aluminum arrows, but with wood arrows you can run into problems where the solvent in one type of glue is incompatible with the finish on the arrow. For instance, only use Bohning glue when the arrows are dipped in Bohning lacquer. When I use glue for carbon arrows, it's always some type of super glue gel.
