I try and do the whole day in my stand, even when the rut isn' t on they will move with a big front or storm coming through, well actually right after the storm is over. In a nutshell you can' t kill a deer from your house! If the wind is right during gun you can slide in near their bedding areas, they do get up and down all day just to loosen up a bit.
