I have a Tikka T3 Lite.270 wsm and love it! Notice the lite part.....I would compare the recoil to that of an '06 shooting a 150 grn.factory load. I went with the .270 wsm because my .300wsm just kicked too much for me to be able to practice with it effectivly andas a result my groups were all over the place.I put a good recoil pad on my Tikka and I don't notice the recoil at all. Last week I shot my first group of hand loads ever. Without the flinch my groups are spot on! See links.

Also if you are looking for a new rifle I would suggest the Tikka.I have 2 and they both shoot like a dream!! It's a great value and a top shooter.
