Historically it seem that our group has been most successful mid-morning...7-10, but we have taken deer at all hours of the day. We all stay from dark ' til dark and only when someone has tagged and needs help, do we come out. We do this because it not only increases our chances, but more importantly, we do it because we want to. There' s a big difference. Simply put, I (we) would rather be in the woods during deer season, than anywhere else. And out track record proves it.
