If you hunt deer you have to put in for a draw tag since all of them are draw and have been for a few years now[archery used to be OTC]. If you are going to do an OTC tag for elk you do not have to put in for the draw. You can purchase it on line or pruchase it when you get here in CO [there are some time lines for rifle season about OTC tags purchase at stores here, but archery you can purchase at any time the season is on.]
I do hunt archery OTC tags when I don't draw my favorite unit. I prefer the draw unit over the OTC tag.
