I had the L-5/S-1disc removed last May. A piece had come of and wedged the nerves against the vertabrae and I suffered with pain and paralysis for 2 month's. Post surgery was a bit painful but nothing more than I had experienced prior to it. I now feel better than I did 5 years ago. Good luck!
