Default RE: We All Knew It Would Be Coming

You all need to write your Senators. Tell them that the gun owners of American are tried of taking the blame and the burden for all the people that illegally use firearms in the commission of a crime. Everytime someone uses a weapon in the commission of a crime, the news media talks about how easy it was for them to get that weapon. Most the time if you really look, they obtained that weapon in an illegal manner. Further we are tired of being taxed and regulated. Instead regulate those that have used weapons in the commission of a crime.

If the courts were made to enforce 1/2 the current gun laws on the books there would be no problem. But what you find is District attorneys use the gun part of the crime as a "lets make a deal" card. What the public sees is a criminal robs an old man in a parking lot at gun point or worse yet uses a gun in the commission of a violent crime and is sentenced to two years in prison. That's because they deal all the violence off the sentence so the criminal will plead guilty to a lesser charge. Then there is no court. BUT MORE IMPORTANT the District attorney can brag about his conviction rating (believe me, they worry about this for future elections).

Unfortunately the news does not like to report how the crime was dealt down by attorneysto a lesser offence. Its easier to talk of the armed attacker and how he only got two years in prison.

Further regulation of gun laws, and taxes, licensing, is just a way for the government to make more money and to later take away the rights of every gun owner in this country. I really am not worried about the president at this point either. He's got a plate full right now. But what we need to do is make sure the gun owners of america's voice is heard and most of all understood.
