ONe thing I notice however with the finished bow, is your power lam looks about same length as your fades in the osage handle? I thought they were going to be 1/2" longer on both sides

As for your question about the power lam. I ended up running my tapper on my riser the same length. Since I had no need for a power lam, and was using it for looks, I made my riser equal lengths to try to make the lam look like it was part of the riser. But you are right. If you makea board bow and use a power lam to stiffen the handle area, you doneed to extend it past the fades.
