Living by the Mississippi River means we see them all the time, I know in a lot of the country they are still relatively rare. Around here, their main winter diet is picking through the manure farmers spread on fields[&:].....they seem to like hog poo best.
They like the manure so much because they pick at dead piglets and afterbirth as well as after birth in cattle manure that goes out with the manure. Around here alot ofdead chickens that go outin the manure too..... Now turkeys, I think they are the favorites of the "hot lunch menu", lol.
