Muzzle - Unfortunately, I doubt that 20 gr more of Pyrodex would have caused you to miss the target at 50 yds provided you were on with the 80 gr charge.
I have resolved to the fact that I must have flinched on that shot. I wish I would have had more powder so I could shoot a couple more times. Hopefully I can get back out soon and shoot some more. I have a terrible time finding powder this time of year where I live. Everybody has sold out for the season and I can't afford to pay the haz. mat. fee.

I have only put about 40 rounds through my Apex and about the same through my Genesis. I am still not confident enough to shoot a deer with either gun. Hopefully I will be able to put 200+ rounds through them both before next deer season. If I'm not confident after that many rounds then I probably never will be. I refuse to shoot a gun at an animal if I'm not 100% capable of my shot with that particular gun.

BTW - Before I got these two MLs, nobody ever told me how addicting the sport can be. I love shooting centerfire but these MLs are a whole new game. I'm starting to try to think of creative ways to stay home from work and make it out to my shooting area without getting caught. My wife says she will never have to think about what to get me for birthday or Christmas again. Powder and bullets and I will be a happy man.
