Some of us OLD FARTS are on medication, such as blood thinners..

A solid punch to the head may well be as lethal to me as a bullet or knife wound...

I suspect that a good lawyer could mount a good case of self defense for me if I should have to defend myself against an assailant using ANY method, including his fists...

In any case, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6...

Yes in such a situation I would agree that you'd have decent footing but you're still going to spend $10k to get out of that mess. Yes, I would rather spend $10k than be dead.

Me on the other hand, I'm a 33 in decent shape and used to fight in tournaments. There isn't any way I'm getting away with firing a weapon unless either I'm highly out numbered or there is a weapon threat.

Which sucks because I'd rather not ever again have to defend myself in a physical confrontation. All it takes is one punch in the right spot to end up a vegetable.

Sucks that the laws make is such that even when you're right you're wrong.
