Default Another Newbie Question

I have another question guys. As stated earlier I just bought a 62in 40# @28 Bear Tigercat. I went to a bow shop and had them put at 58 inch string on it. I' m not sure what the specs are for string, only that it is 58inches and not necessarily a recurve/longbow string(not sure if that matters). Anyway, my brace height measured from the center of the grip is 11 inches and from the riser its about 10 1/2. Do these numbers sound right?

By the way, will I ever be able to shoot this thing accurately enough to hunt with? I suddenly have a new respect for traditional shooters, it' s very hard.

Oh yeah, another question.... I know longbow shooters tend to cant the bow to the right, is this something I should be doing with a recurve as well, or should I shoot it more like a compound? It just feels better to me to cant it to the right..
