I've got some fletched with helical Blazers that are carrying a 100 grain brass insert and a 125 grain head. Like Mean V. I'm not a real fan of the HIT insert. In the all carbon shaft I'm finding that with a heavy impact (hitting a tree say) the shaft wall splits right ahead of the insert. (Wasn't a problem with the FMJ or A/C due to the aluminum reinforcement. W ith a normal insert the collar of the insert absorbs the shock rather than the shaft wall. I'd recommend the CX Maximas or Aramids over the Axis shafts. If I had it to do over I'd machine my own 100 grain inserts and go back to the standard a/c/c's.
