Go to RL25. I had better luck in the 300 RUM's we load for with RL25. IMO RL22 is a bit too fast.

We shot 165 grain Nosler BT's(for deer), and 200 grain Sierra(for elk)hunting bullets. Both bullets performed flawlessly.

I am not knocking the expensive bullets, but with the performance the 300 RUM gives you, I see no need for the expensive bullets. A 165 Sierra or Nosler BT will perform flawlessly on a deer out of the 300 RUM, at distances that most of us are not able to shoot at.

I do not want to post how much RL25 we loaded, because the load was hot. However the cartridge and rifle is truly a PERFORMANCE machine. The 300 RUM is the big dog, so fill that baby up and let the big dog eat. Tom.
