Glad to here you are having luck with persimmons! I planted 1 1/2 acres ( amounts to about 650 trees)of them about 3 1/2 yrs ago, they are now about 6' tall. I took one of my small, undesirablefields and put a portion ofit into a CREP program which is similar to a CRP program. The gov't cost shared the planting etc. and also pays a set amount each year for x number of years in my contract. I can't wait until they start producing the fruitThe rest of the field I usually have the farmer plant beans or corn and just leave it alone. I bush hog a section in the center during Sept. and plant winter oats and winter peas in it.... usually draws a crowd.Keep up the good work on those does!!!
