i try to find biggest oak or pine i can with my stand.

not only it blocks wind but you dont sway in wind.

idea of 2 trees is fine but when wind blows, unless those 2 trees are real big,you will sway in wind.

this could loosen a ladderstand ,on the lock ons you will get sea sick.

i do like the rail idea, that would elimante for me the belt on tree and offer a rest for my gun and allow me to put up a windbreaker at 10 above using my WOOL BLANKET from woolrich for 21 dollars.
