Corn has went up in price in the last couple years and right now a 50 pound bag is between 8-10 bucks, depending on where you live. This is much more expensive than in the past. I would say your best bet is corn though. Apple trees require a lot of care and as saplings the deer love to chew them until they are nothing but planted sticks, so if you do plant them, read up on trimming, pollination (you can use crab apples to pollinate other apple trees), and most importantly protect them from the deer so they can eventuallymature and produce fruit. If you dont want to dump a bag of corn and have it gone in 2 days, you might wanna look into a timed feeder.
