Before reading on. You need to be in Western Washington. Either living here, or passing through. There are a lot of old moisture-filled, poorly reloaded rounds being sold online & locally so I need to see these in person. I am not going to risk destroying my weapons, or myself from a squib or delayed fire, not to mention wasting my money.
.45 ACP is expensive and that's the cold hard truth. No longer can you buy 50 rounds of cheap ball for $10-$12 like in 2002, it's now retailing on average at $20-$30. [:@] If anybody has reloads, or a bunch of extra .45 ACP lying around as extra stock, or left over from selling your gun, let me know.
I mainly need cheap plinking ammo, so I don't care what type it is, HP, JHP, FMJ will all work.
Currently I am paying $20 for 50 rounds and $82 for 250 of ball. I found one guy selling a bunch with many reloads, for less than half that price, but haven't been able to get a hold of him lately. Gimme a good deal, and i'll buy IT ALL. We got a range day in a month for a local group of fishermen/hunters and many of us are all hurting for .45ACP. If you have so much that I can't afford it all, I can have 10 guys with cash in hand that same day. We'll be wheelbarreling empty cases off the range at the end of the day.
I'll buy a few boxes, and if they shoot fine, i'll be back for the rest.
