Pgc manages for an ow density. THATS NOT OW-DEER DENSITY!!! It was 69 ALL TIME HIGH For Greene county and 79 for washington which can be found on the 2002 annual report.
Thats also FORESTED square miles and not square miles so that makes the numbers VERY deceptively high. I guess that makes the shock value (as was intended) Use the appropriate ow density and convert to SQUARE MILES and the total is a FRACTION of those numbers you cited.
Not particularly interested in how many fawns we havethat impact the habitat little, and that, in a time of plenty from late spring tohunting season.
