I have the opportunity to go to "southeastern" Iowa to bowhunt deer on a place we've never been. I know Iowa is one heck of a deer state but because of work, family and a dozen other things I want to do my homework before I commit.
It sounds strange but this is arranged through a friend of a friend that knows of a place! Sounds tempting but at this time in my life it is a big committment.

Do any of you have personal experience deer hunting southern Iowa? What is the terrain like? Hilly? Huge fields? Big deer population? Decent size bucks in this part of the state?
