Default RE: Drop away rest question

I've been thinking about trying that whammy rest if the shop has one. Otherwise it will be a Trophy Taker or TT "clone" for me.

I had a QAD when they first came out on my X-tec- the Bow tech at my shop swore by them- so I tried it. I was getting a little contact I could not dial out and I just didn't trust the thing- too complex a mechanism for my tastes. I sold the bow and the rest went with it. I know alot of people have great success with them, but it was not for me. The TT is pretty much idiot proof (lord knows if *I* like it), I never had one break bend or come loose/out of tune, and it's easy to dial in. For my Liberty it shot best coming up a little sooner than on my Outback- just needed a little more guidance with the Liberty but once I worked that out, it was money. With both bows I thought the accuracy level and forgiveness level was excellent with the TT- better than a more conventional TM Hunter style rest ( I shot mostly NAP 1000/3000 and GK plat. premiers prior to that). Come to think of it I had one on the Switchback and Ross CR337 too, IIRC.
