The roberts round is one fine caliber. I have had one for many years, my wife has used it and so has my son. It is a fine round for a young hunter. They are difficult to come by now,I dont know of a manufacture that makes one at this time. This rifle has taken over 20 deer with no complaints either. IMO they a better round than the 243, the 25-06 does offer more power, but with more recoil. I wouldnt reccomend it for a young hunter who is recoil shy.
