My fathers entire collection was stolen about 12 years ago. This was back in the day when gunsafes were not normal, but the glass gun display cases were prevelant (he owns a gun safe now). He had several shotguns (12, 20 and 410), several rifles 25.06, .223, 22LR, 7mm Remmag, SKS as well as 3 muzzleloaders and my cherished Contender in 35 Rem Mag (21st Bday gift from parents). Unfortuately, the COntender was the only firearm that we were able to provide any serial # info on (through thathard lesson all that info is kept in triplicate at3 seperate locations).

I am eagarly awaiting the day (my hopes are not that high though) when some poor schmuck 3 or 4 guys removed from the original theft tries to make an honest transaction at a licensed dealer and trade my Contender into have the data base show this gun is hot and returned to me. I know this is very unlikely, but a guy can hope, can't he?
