Interesting. Definitely conflicting info on the waxing rate. I was told to wax weekly as well from several people. I don't, however. In the year I've owned my 101st, I've waxed the string probably 3 times. It's the stock Bowtech strings, but they're good strings, and I saw very little fuzziness even after plenty of shooting. As for technique, I just put a light coat on the string, and work it in by rubbing my fingers between the string. Friction softens the wax, gets it penetration, and wicks the excess off all in one motion.
As for the oil changes...I'll stick to the every 3K miles...I get my oil by the 50gal drums anyways.
