In VT you only need permission (verbal only) if you want to erect a treestand or ground blind on private property and also during the youth weekends for different species...other than that, unless its posted, I can freely hunt thru. If the landowner comes out and says to leave, Id have to but without notice I can hunt as I please.

Reason I ask is that Id like to see that changed here!!
