RE: Turkey Hunting in Washington
Lady Grouse Hunter, I'd be interested in exactly where you went over there. There is a TON of public land crawling with turkeys. True they are usually lower early in the season, but there are still birds up higher. It is dependent on the snow line. As it moves up, so do the birds. By the latter part of the season, birds are all the way up to most hilltops in the area. Just wanted to let you know in case you ever wanted to go back. That area has some of the most birds and public land of any area in the country. Not trying to pull you away from a spot that you are happy with, though. Good luck this year.
