Well the 1-48 twist will shoot roundball very well. The 1-70 twist in my .58 caliber will shoot a little better. But that's not to say either of them would not be hunting quality. Actually if all your shots are under 100 yards, a .54 in a 1-48 twist will handle the job just fine.
