We almost didn't retrieve the two ringers because the mud was so soft, you'd sink 4 feet into the mud but only be in a foot of water. My buddy ended up literally swimming out there likea dog to get those ducks. Another woodie I shot this year fell into head high marsh grass, and we never found it either. I remember SwampCollie telling me that he'd never lost so many birds in his life while hunting in SC.
