Chris, where I hunt, ducks are much easier to kill. I also think that decoying geese is much more of a rush than decoying ducks. To me on my scale of rush () ducks are closer to doves, and geese are closer to turkeys. Obviously personal preference. I'll second you on not being able to find birds.
