The fair solution would be reducing the length of firearm buck hunting to compensate.

i say combine all season into one for 30 days. no seperate rifle archery smokepole. use what you choose. do this in october and that way you know the does you see after season are most likely bred.

First, Pa's bow season among one of the shortest of all the states.

Second, Bowhunter numbers represent about a third of all hunters. The season is longer simply because bowhunting is a much more challenging method of harvesting deer. Bowkills are not anywhere near that percentage. Until the percentage of bowkills becomes commensurate with their percentage of total hunters, it would be more appropriate to say that the bow season is unfairly short.

Third, a 30 day gun season is simply not remotely feasible with 900,000 hunters.
