I have had good luck with 100 grs. Pyro-777 in my Kodiaks {same rifle as a Apex} shooting SW's and Deadcenters. I now shoot 90 grs. of BH209
Never cared for see through rings, pulls your head of the stock too much to see the scope.
With a 2X7 scope 150 yard shots are quite doable.
