RE: Deer Decoys. Best, how to, comments?
Cloud 9, I have owned two decoys, one was a Flambeau Doe, the other a Carry-Lite Deer Decoy. The first one, the Flambeau, was stolen. I got tired of carring it around in the dark so I started hiding it near my stand, this was on leased property, so if you get one my advise is don' t leave in in the woods. I haven' t used the Carry-Lite much, the lease I' ve had the last few years is all wooded, no real opening where the decoy can be seen. I have a new lease this year with some open areas and I plan to start using it again.
I generally put a white rag on its tail. I have looked at the Tail Wagger and may try one of those, have read where they are very effective. I pertty much do what the experts say and put the decoy facing away if it' s set up as a doe and facing toward me if it' s set up with antlers on.
