Default RE: Turkey Hunting in Washington

I would have to say that if you are a beginner, the box or slate call is the easiest to learn. If you have any experience with using diaphragm calls for elk, you are well on your way to using them for turkeys. I personally like Primos calls, but I'm biased because the company is located in my home town of Jackson, MS.

I'm sure there are lots of guys out there that can give you more info about the area than I can. I hunted over there last season near Trout Lake just across the river from Colville and Kettle Falls for the first time. I'm from the deep south, but I've never seen an area that has as many birds with as much public access. There are tons of birds over there. You can e-mail me if you want more info.
