I have a ghillie suit that i made last winter. i used it last spring in a pasture that had burned a few weeks before season opened and the grass was about 3 inches tall and impossible to hide in with out a ghillie suit. one morning i had a large group of hens and jakes at 3-5 feet from me. one the bad side the hat that i have ghillied up can be a pain when the wind is blowing because it blows the stuff in your eyes. and you have to avoid water as much as possible that thing gets heavy when wet.[:@] but the pros far out wiegh the cons in my opinion. i am going to make one that is green so i can blend in with cedar trees.
