Im a new bow hunter my self. My tip would be to go to your local reputable bow and gun shop and get your self a good quality used bow. I got a Hoyt intruder raider which is like a 7 or 8 year old bow in good condition and it did not cost much. The full setup with a tune up and new carbon arrows cost me around $300 and I love the way it shoots its very quiet and accurate. good luck on what you do but I know you will love bowhunting
