We all had a great time this weekend. I was merciful to those young porkers just this once.Promise you it wont happen again. I asked Megan why she didn't shoot the pigs she said she wanted a big one. When I told her she could take more than one she said oh great dad thanks for telling me now. The entire weekend was fantastic, great company, superb hunting area and lots of pigs. Oh, and listening to the coyotes at night, reminds me of when I lived in Maine and we had song dogs behind the house.
Jr took a bruise to his young ego thinking he called it right on the deer. But I was impressed he walked away saying he learned something from Snook.
My daughter woke up totally confused at 4 A.M. Shes like dad wheres the sun? She is not a morning person or for that matter a mid day person. When the sky started to light up shes like dad whats going on. I said it's sunrise! You just never awake for it. Then she mumbled something like xxxhole.
I am very impressed with the area and want to join this hunt club and again its for the hogs not the deer. Both kids are pimping me to join. Wont take much proding there.
There is another side to this a more personal one. When the kids and Ihunt or fish this is a no B.S. zone. We are not allowed to talk about school, work or any other issues. It our safe place, all about coming together and enjoying each others company and bonding. This time we got to do it with some fantastic people whoare a pleasure tobe with.
Oh, Snook sure can cook that ham tasted great.
