DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LADDER STANDS UP YEAR ROUND!!!!! the bolts rust very fast ,tubing fills with water and freezes. i've seen 2 stands break after being left up all season,they were both rated for 300lbs and broke with less then 200lbs on them. .

i have 5 lockons,4 ladderstands and a climber. i'd rather hunt out of a ladderstand. i usually buy the cheaper ladderstands at walmart or dicks sporting goods when on sale and then i add to them . most cheaper stands are rated for at least 300lbs but dont have shooting rest. i have conduit bender so i just make my own shooting rail.
