I would love to know the percenatge that are against the PGC. I bet a majority of the ones that hate it are the one day members of the orange army. You know the ones that hunt the Monday after Thanksgiving and thats it. i personally know many of them. To be honest in my area the ones that put their time in are real happy with the deer herd. Like I have been saying for years you only get out of something what you put into something.
I believe you have summed up the Pennsylvania situation in one paragraph. The hunters are still finding plenty of deer. The one day punkin army crowd is unhappy because it is no longer productive to pick a stump, any stump, and sit down on the opener and see the deer bounce around the woods like pinballs. I have 30% heart function thanks to a virus a few years back and I still manage to see lots of deer in suburbia, farmland, and yes even on public national forest land.
