Do not want to make it sound to simple but
NC had it right - if you are going to hunt big gme with it and you are going to shoot strictly PRB's or an occasional Conical - go 54 + you can shoot sabots and projectiles from a 1/48 very successfully.
Other than that the 50 offers a far wider range of opportunities...
