Since the 597 is the only .22 rifle I own at the present time, I haven' t thrown it in the garbage, YET!
One day, I' ll get a Marlin or Ruger, then I' ll probably wrap the 597 around a tree somewhere! I don' t think I could sell it to my worst enemy!
Anyway, I went out plinking this morning and I had forgotten just how sorry this piece of crap really is! Jammed first shot, and the trigger!!!!! Can it legally even be called a trigger? A guy could dislocate his trigger finger trying to fire that thing!
