RULE # 1: If you want some venison, shoot the first decent size deer you get a good shot at early on. There's the rest of the season to be picky and choosy. You can't expect the same opportunities once the guns start going off. Your only mistake would be being choosy early on when all you really wanted to do was shoot some meat and have some fun.
