Be happy to most of the Elk during Archery are congregated in the Cruces Basin Wilderness area. There are some spring due east of there also that is very good. I would concentrate my effort in that area. Unless you are extremly ambitious want to hike drop down into some ugly stuff with the knowledge that it is straight up and down. Then email me and I will share a spot I know of but dont hunt because of the logistics of getting the elk out.
