Mine are bird dogs and part of the training I purposely will put them in a field that has deer hanging around them. I keep the shock collar on high and on the ready if needed. I haven't had to use it not even once on them. I have had deer run across in front of them only to stand on the edge of the field so they can look at each other. I do this because if they were to try and give chase to them I can break them of it right off the bat. It easier to apply this method if needed while they are in plain view. After allI do not want my bird dogs chasing deer anyways.I wouldn't be able to get birds if they did and they would be no good to me.. By the way the deer normally end up just walking off in the woods unafraid of them.
