Would you be in agreement then that based on which fawns (male/female) we in the higher mortalitly rate could skew your numbers from year to year...or say just by chance 95% of buck fawns died but all the doe fawns lived.
NOw why in the world would the mortality rate be skewed so high towards buck fawns? If you want to arrive at an outcome that shows you have an extremely outrageous buck:doe ratio.....you can cook the books any way you want to get there. Whether your method holds any water is another thing.
