Default RE: Scopes For Genesis

Yes they make such a thing. With Weaver style bases on the rifle (or the ones from Traditions for the Yukon they see) get some Warne 1" QD rings. These are quick release rings. They also return to near perfect zero each time you take them off and on.

I have a Genesis as well. We also are not allowed magnified scopes in Wisconsin. So I have a 1x32mm T/C Hawkins scope for muzzleloader season, and since my shots are close, I change over to a Simmons Pro Diamond 4x32mm for rifle season. I used the quick release rings and it works out fine for me.

If I had to shoot distances, I would get a Nikon Pro Staff 2-7x32mm for the rifle. Because of the short length, you can leave the sights on the rifle, and with it you'd be good to about 150 yards with practice. That would do you well in the Dakota's. Also the Pro Staff is excellent optics clarity, and quality for around $120.00 buck. The Warne rings will cost you around $45.00 but they really are a great set of rings.
