OK...a question for the experts out there. Exactly when did the remington quality go downhill? I' m mainly concerned with the model 700' s. (don' t care about the 710 or 597, they speak for themselves). I haven' t bought a new rifle in about 7 yrs , and the last one I got was a 700 VSSS...and it is absolutely fantastic. Is it just some that are having trouble(a few lemons), or the majority of them? Like I said in my earlier post, my dad just got a 700 adl this spring and it seems to be a fine rifle. Just curious...because I may get a new gun in the near future (I' d like a .260 mtn rifle). Thanks.
