I used to use Remington Kleen Bore primers but they were anything but "Kleen"

+1 on the, Ha Ha "Kleen"bores - I haven't had good experiences with these either.

I use Winchester 777 primers or Federal 209A's. Both work fine, but the 777 primers seem to give better groups.
